The Waterline supertall skyscraper, designed by KPF, is approaching completion in Austin with structural work and facade largely finished. The tower reached its full 1,025-foot (312-meter) height after topping out in August, making it Texas's tallest building—surpassing IM Pei's JPMorgan Chase Tower in Houston by over 20 feet.

The mixed-use development features luxury residences in the upper portion, with offices, a 1 Hotel, and retail spaces below. The tower's form narrows as it rises, marked by visible structural breaks featuring exposed perimeter columns. The design, which integrates a podium with amenities, reflects "the stacked and striated design that rises up the tower as it leans away from the water," according to KPF.

The project includes landscape design by TBG Partners and Nudge studios, connecting to public programming around the adjacent riverfront. Developer Lincoln Property Company projects an opening in 2026, positioning the building as "a top downtown destination and activity center" seamlessly integrated with local waterway trails.
