The Austin Marriott Downtown opened March 5, 2021 as one of the largest hotels to come to downtown Austin in decades — 34 stories and 613 guest rooms at 304 East Cesar Chavez Street, steps from the Austin Convention Center. Designed by HKS and developed by White Lodging, DPR Construction completed the 700,000-square-foot tower in June 2020 after a 32-month build, with the opening delayed several months by COVID-19. The hotel features four distinct dining and bar concepts — Corinne, The Lobbyist, Zanzibar, and Loaf + Vine — a seventh-floor pool deck, and 60,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
