Downtown Austin's hotel landscape is expanding with a dual-branded property featuring two distinct concepts. The Aloft and Element hotels are scheduled to open July 27 at Congress Avenue and Seventh Street.
This Starwood Hotels & Resorts project offers contrasting experiences: Aloft provides "funky and urban" design, while Element emphasizes "clean, eco-friendly design." The larger 278-room Aloft includes industrial touches and vibrant colors, while the 144-room Element features open layouts and green appliances.
Shared amenities comprise an all-hours fitness center, approximately 2,500 square feet of meeting space, and two dining concepts. Caroline operates on the first floor as an all-purpose American eatery, while Upstairs at Caroline occupies the second floor with an outdoor lounge. Both venues welcome public and hotel guests.
The properties begin accepting reservations for stays after August 15, with opening rates starting at $180 nightly for single-occupancy rooms.
